Vincent Series C Comet 500 1951 ‘Shed find’ 1 owner last 52 years classic vintage rare matching numbers
According to the VOC this was dispatched from the Vincent factory on 19/ 06/ 1951 to a dealership called Reynold in Liverpool and was registered 3 days later.
This was purchased by my father in 1973 as a complete, running motorcycle.
At the time, he also purchased a new chrome exhaust system, handlebars and levers.
It was then partially dismantled, but he never fitted the new parts and it was then stored in his garage/ shed without being used for the last 52 years.
We have now got it out of the shed and back into the garage and it has been loosely assembled.
Please note that we have not attempted to clean it up, start it, etc due to the timescales involved.
The mileage on the clock is only showing 1950 miles, but we aren’t sure whether this is accurate or not.
We have a current and previous V5s.
We can confirm that both the frame numbers, the engine number and the crankcase numbers are all matching the details listed.
