2004 Volvo S60 2. 0T Manual – 96, 000 Miles – Tastefully Modified & Well Maintained
Selling my 2004 Volvo S60 2. 0T with a manual gearbox — a rare and enjoyable combo. It's done 96, 000 miles and has had a huge amount of recent work. I'm a mechanic, so everything has been maintained properly using quality parts. It’s been a great car and is ready for someone else to enjoy.
Good Points:
New front control arms, ball joints, anti-roll bars, and wheel bearings (both sides)
Brand new steering rack and power steering pump
Timing belt, water pump, aux belt, and all tensioners replaced less than 3, 000 miles ago
New clutch less than 10, 000 miles ago
Battery replaced 6 months ago
Full service done under a month ago
New spark plugs around 6 months ago
Heater matrix replaced at the same time as timing belt
Driveshaft boots replaced both sides
Heated seats, working sunroof, electric driver’s seat — all working as they should
Bluetooth radio using a CD changer adaptor
Factory Spaceball shifter, which feels great and looks the part
Modifications:
Lowered on BC Racing coilovers all around
Stainless steel exhaust from the cat back with a single resonator — sounds clean and not over the top
Cold air intake fitted for a bit more induction noise
Aftermarket gear knob
One of the wheels is a different style from the rest, but the original matching wheel will come with the car
Also included is a full set of spare alloys, which I’ll throw in if the car goes for around asking price
Has a half-size spare wheel in the boot, but you’re welcome to keep the full-size mismatched one as a spare instead
Known Issues (Being Transparent):
Needs a new fuel pump — currently starts but can take a few tries
Occasionally throws an engine light for the clutch position sensor — light goes away on its own, doesn’t affect driving
Coolant low warning shows on dash — coolant level is fine and system has been bled twice, so likely the level sensor
Power steering reservoir has a slight leak — steering is sometimes a bit heavier but the pump and rack are brand new, so it's just the reservoir at fault
No service history folder — I accidentally threw out the wrong one when scrapping my other S60. Most of the work was done by me anyway, so there weren’t many invoices. I do have email receipts for most of the parts
Condition:
Paint is in decent condition with just a few age-related marks
Interior has some wear and tear but nothing major
Fully cleaned and detailed for the sale
MOT until October 2025
It’s been a reliable car and drives well — I’m only selling because I’ve bought something else and want a change
