Description
Price is in US dollars ! I am going to add photos of all the spare parts new and used that go with the sale plus a lot of rare literature also included, only included with the sale of the bike not for sale separately
This is one of only a handful or original R16's known to exist and has an interesting history . It was on display at the very first BMW car dealership in Montreal in the 1960's and was brought to Canada in the 1930's by a prominent Canadian family. All the numbers are correct except that the crankcase was changed at some point for an R11 case. The BMW Archive states the bike is a series 2 1931. The bike appears to have had an amateur restoration in the 1960's and have not attempted to run it. I have a Canadian REGISTRATION in my name. The sale price is firm and includes a nice stash off valuable spares. I have plenty of experience crating and shipping worldwide. More info on request. A reluctant sale motivated only by old age. To my eyes one of the most beautiful Beemers ever made.
