1988 Ford Escort XR3i
Was stored in a barn for 20 years by the previous owner. He then recommissioned it mechanically and put it through an MOT.
I bought it off him and finished the aesthetic side of things. The car was rot free but paint was faded and flaky from storage. It’s had a full respray in Rosso red. Refurbished dog leg alloys with new Michelin 185/ 60/ 14 tyres.
New petrol tank, fuel pump, and pipes. Interior is excellent condition, sunroof all works, original radio cassette with joystick control. Starts on the button, MOT until January. Stunning to look at and fun to drive.
Mileage reads 12, 000 which has been round so 112, 000.
Lots of history and even Ford service history, old MOT’s, tax discs etc. even a book the chap used to list every think he did to it in his ownership. Always garaged since I’ve owned it.
