Description
The car is in good very condition and drives well. The engine is strong and runs smoothly, automatic transmission operates perfectly. Chassis is rust free, but there is some minor bubbling at the bottom of the doors. The interior is in very good condition, seats were reupholstered just prior to my ownership with a new headlining. The exterior paintwork is in good condition. Chrome work and decals are all there but some slight dents on chrome.
Electric windows, electric seats, power brakes and power steering all working. Converted to 12v with alternater, so to run the radio a stepper would be required to connect the original valve radio.
Work done:- Refurbished, master cylinder & Servo, front brake pistons and new shoes. New bushes to suspension. Rebuilt carburettor new silencer. Refurbished Water pump. New plugs, leads and oil change, New MOT. I bought this car 15 years ago it had just been imported into the UK from the South of France, but had spent most of its life Hollywood. Its a great car that gets a lot of attention and was well advance in its time. This model was at the luxury end of the American market with power steering power brakes, electric windows and seats. It became know as the "Road Race Lincoln" for its success in the Mexican Carrera Panamericana road races. It has been garaged during my ownership, but lack of space now forces sale. The mileage is currently 60, 781 having done little mileage in my ownership, mostly only used for a few trips to the Goodwood Revival and local charity events.
