an open chequebook restoration carried out leaving this limited edition Clio 182 trophy in a condition you very rarely see. No detail was overlooked, enabling at least another 20 years of driving enjoyment. The result is a car that drives exactly as Renaultsport intended: sharp, precise and engaging. With its rebuilt chassis and engine bay detailing, No. 142 of just 500 feels as close to “new” as any Trophy on the market. All the above is backed up by detailed service history, beginning with main dealer entries and continuing through recognised Renaultsport specialists: Full records and invoices, a recent major service and an advisory-free MOT until June 2026, offers peace of mind alongside its outstanding restoration. Everywhere you look, the condition reinforces the care that has gone into this car — original, functional, and true to the spirit of the Trophy.
This is Car No. 142 of 500. A UK-market Renault Clio Sport 182 Trophy in superb condition after a painstaking restoration. With its full service history, freshly renewed mechanicals and flawless appeal, this is not just another hot hatch. It is a rare and highly collectable modern classic. For the enthusiast who missed out twenty years ago, the chance has come again. First registered in August 2005, it is one of only 500 UK-market examples produced;
The Clio 182 Trophy was produced as a special-edition run-out model, which featured the rear spoiler from the Clio V6, it has the sophisticated Sachs remote reservoir dampers which are brand new and have been safely stored until fitted specially for this trophy, lightweight Speedline Turini alloy wheels, lowered Recaro Trendline front bucket seats and a unique numbered plaque, which confirms this car as number 142 of 500
Few hot hatches have achieved the cult status of Renault’s Clio 182 Trophy, hailed by Evo magazine as “the best hot hatch of all time.” It was the ultimate expression of Renaultsport’s chassis brilliance – and this, Car No. 142, has been restored to better-than-new condition.
