Here for sale is my very rare 1979 Lincoln Continental Mark V collectors series. It has only 28K miles on the clock and until very recently has been in a storage facility since coming over from the States in 2007 when it only had 27K miles on it. It’s all original and standard, it has the original unused spare wheel and Jack & also the collectors series only leather tool role in the boot. There was a total of only 6262 collectors series Lincoln Continental Mark Vs ever made in the last year of the full size Lincoln - 3900 midnight blue, 2040 white, 125 silver and 197 diamond blue. When new, the Collector's Series Treatment cost nearly $8, 000 on top of the already pricey luxurious Lincoln, bringing the MSRP to almost $22, 000, about three times that of the regular Ford automobile. This example offers maximum American opulence of the era. The 1979 Collector's Series Mark V had essentially the same equipment as the Diamond Jubilee Edition of 1978 and there were very few additional equipment options. Unique paint schemes, as well as Collector's Series script on the rear roof quarters, gave the Collector's Series unique touches. Unlike other Mark V models, these cars did not include opera windows. Among the many standard features included in this flagship Lincoln are, a Landau vinyl top, electronic AM/ FM stereo search radio with cassette tape player, power locks, six-way power seating, power windows, cruise control, and rear window defrost. A very limited run of only 197 Collector's Series Mark V Lincolns were produced in the Diamond Blue colour. Today, they are difficult to find in any respectable condition and represent the finest, and some of the most expensive, American automobiles of the decade.
