1989 Land Rover Defender - Discovery 200Tdi Engine - Solid chassis for its age

Much-loved classic Defender, fitted with a Discovery 200Tdi engine (conversion believed to have been done in 1993, prior to my ownership). Runs brilliantly, totally reliable, and always a pleasure to drive.
I've owned it since 2017 and invested 10-15k in maintenance and improvements to keep it mechanically strong. Reliability has always been my priority over cosmetics, so while it's not a show car, it's solid, dependable, and ready to be enjoyed.
After purchasing, I carried out a number of key upgrades within the first year to ensure long-term peace of mind. The cylinder head was professionally skimmed and checked over by Land Rover in Leyburn after early signs of overheating, resolving the issue properly before it could develop into something serious. A new radiator, fan, and water pump were fitted, along with a new power steering system, fuel pump, fuel injector, wiring and a new exhaust. It also sits on wheels and tyres fitted less than three years ago.
I drive it regularly on both short and long trips with zero issues.
