1964 Mk1 Lotus Cortina. Genuine pre-airflow original A-frame car with aluminium bonnet, boot, doors, gearbox housing, bell-housing and differential case.
Known to Lotus Cortina registry. Letter from Lotus Cars confirming authenticity.
Restored in 90s - good overall condition throughout with age related marks/ patina expected for age.
Fresh monster spec motor - 2 litre tall AX block, ~199hp and 171 lb/ foot torque on dyno sheet from Toovey Race Engines. IKE performance stroker kit with steel crank and rods, all lightened and balanced, big valve head, 45 Webers. Simpson full stainless exhaust system. New engine mounts and gear selector bushes.
New heated windscreen and seal.
Original long first (50mph) gearbox. New gearbox rear seal, new uprated clutch.
New LSD, rear wheel bearings and axle seals.
Front coil overs, adjustable TCA's, aluminium front hubs and 4 pot front callipers. Drum rear brakes rebuilt.
Powdercoated strut brace.
Suspension has been set up and corner weighted.
Car weighs approx 820KG.
Larger alloy rad and electric fan, Lithium battery, electric fuel pump. Digital rev limiter (to be wired up).
Goes like stink!
On lotus steels with brand new Avon CR6zz tyres.
Interior is presentable, original door panels, original studded steering wheel correct to a 64 car. Have centre console (not in car).

Built for speed - great fun - much faster version of the iconic LC. Not one for the purists as modified for fun and adrenaline filled use so no knit picking please!
