Triumph Bonneville T140V 1978 UK Bike with matching frame and engine numbers. V5 in my name. Registered as a historic vehicle. Collect from London.
If it weren’t for me leaving the UK, I would never want to sell it. This is an amazing bike – I’ve ridden it on adventures around many places and even through Europe. It carries so many wonderful memories for me. I hope someone who takes it over can enjoy it and look after it well. It’s reliable and won’t let you down!
Condition: usually starts first kick and runs well. Maintained by me and Victory Motorcycles. Dropped it at a standstill once; dent on tank (see photos) but no effect on riding.
Recent work & upgrades:
New UK peashooter exhausts + one spare.
New clutch cable and soft clutch.
Lower handlebar fitted; US bar included.
Wheels rebuilt with stainless spokes & new bearings.
Petrol Tank re-lined, clean.
Avon tyres & tubes.
Forks rebuilt with seals & stanchions.
Front & rear master cylinders rebuilt with hoses.
Calipers rebuilt with pads.
New steering bearings & swingarm bushes.
Hagon shocks.
New primary chain, tachometer cable.
Fresh oil & filter, valve clearances done.
Seat cover changed - old one kept.
Extras: spare exhaust pipes, peashooter, front fork inner tube, spark plug cables, spark plugs etc.
