Description
1927 steel T Coupe sitting on a 1930 Model A chassis. Never been raced or rallied. Much. Has been on a beach however. Driven everywhere. Sits in traffic no problem, I'd drive it to Wales today if the tide was out.
1928/ 9 fenders, headlight bar and headlights with halogen conversion. Handmade aluminium 4-piece hood. 27T running boards.
Body is solid but was an older 'Murican restoration. Paint is therefore thick and cracking and various shades of Henry's favourite. Could do with a blow over, or not.
Custom radiator to suit the T grill shell.
1932 Ford front axle on a Model A wishbone, fitted with 1935 rod brakes and Teds Floaters. Cast iron rear drums on a stock Model A rear axle rebuilt by Nervous Bob, with a 3. 27 ratio. Stock Model A gearbox. 19" A wheels all round with 4. 50 x 19 Blockleys up front and 6. 00 x 19" Michelins on the rear. High geared and pulls it easily.
2-tooth Model A steering box.
New Rotoshim shocks all round. Handles lovely.
Current engine is a ported Model B block with big valves, a rather good cam (wish I had another...), Winfield head, single Stromberg on a period Burns manifold, with a Hallock style cast iron header.
White metal mains and inserted B rods on a cross drilled counterbalanced crank. Full pressure oiling. Lightened flywheel, steel front pulley, 9" clutch.
Could be supplied with a rebuilt B engine fitted with a 14. 9 head.
£17500 as is or £15k with the B engine. Or offers. Or not for sale if the other thing I've found doesn't happen.
