The engine and gearbox are smooth as silk - it really is unbelievable how you waft around so effortlessly and comfortably in this car. There is nothing to note mechanically.
The paint is a gorgeous silver-blue with light grey leather. There is only one small localised patch of rust behind the OS rear door trim - but compared to most other W220's still on the road it is in great shape to be fair.
I took this car as a PX from a friend for my R230 SL500, you can see pictures of the S320 arriving and my SL500 departing on a trailer. My friend owned it about 2 years and only done around 3k miles. It is registered in my name.
This is a 25 year old luxury car for very little money, and only has one main issue. The central locking does not work as there is a leak in the soft-close system on the driver’s door which causes the fuse to blow and the motor on the pump needs someone to look at it. A replacement door lock unit comes with the car, my friend never got round to fitting it and just got used to using the blade key.
I have too many cars (E31 BMW 840, E53 4. 8is X5, E46 and some daily drivers), and this is surplus to requirements and only took in PX from my friend as he has even more cars than me. Drives beautifully and is in very good condition inside/ out.
