Description
Honda CB400SS (2003)
11900km (7400 miles)
In very good condition with some age related marks such as very light pitting on the chrome mudguards and a small dent on the muffler and the paint on the cylinder head being slightly weak but only noticeable on close inspection.
Four stroke single cylinder, imported from Japan in 2017 as this model was never made for the UK market, although having said this all parts are easily available for this bike as the engine is used in other bikes.
I bought the bike from a Triumph dealership in Doncaster in 2023 as a lightweight bike to help me work my way back onto bigger bikes after a back issue. The bike has obviously been looked after prior to me owning it with only low mileage being added between MOT's.
Honda's reliability married to a lightweight (156kg)
Easy to start and runs well, rides beautifully and all the electrics work properly.
Clutch and gears are smooth and positive and the brakes are smooth and progressive, a really nimble riding bike especially when compared to the modern 400's of which there are so many of.
YSS adjustable shocks but I do still have the originals which are in good condition.
New battery fitted this summer.
Light brown leather seat was my personal choice, there was nothing wrong with the original seat I just decided to have it recovered and the old Honda logo Lasered into the rear of the seat.
1 years MOT and the tyres which are Metzlers are practically new as I only had them fitted 18 months ago.
I have treated the bike with ACF50 since I have owned it to keep it protected even though I've only ever ridden it on dry roads.
Only selling as I don't get the time that it deserves to be ridden.
