Vintage Bonnet, a specialist in sports and collectible vehicles in Lyon, is offering for sale an Austin-Healey 100-6 BN4 :
Off the production line on 23 February 1959 in its Healey Blue colour with a navy interior, this is an Austin-Healey 100/ 6 BN4 that we’re offering for sale. The 6-cylinder version of the “Hundred” model with the 3000 bodywork, the BN4’s engine was fitted with a new manifold and a new cylinder head to improve performance and develop 117 bhp (almost identical to the Austin Healey 3000 BT7).
Fully restored around twenty years ago, the bodywork shows a degree of patina with a few age-related imperfections. That said, our car is very solid and shows no signs of corrosion. The mechanical components and underbody (chassis, floor pans and sills) are in excellent condition (see photos).
We have British Motor Heritage documentation to confirm that our roadster is completely Matching Colours and Matching Numbers. So; the body tub, engine and gearbox are indeed original parts, just like the interior and exterior colour, which was the same as the one supplied new in 1959. An original detail: it’s fitted with Dunlop-type wheels, setting it apart from its homologation peers equipped with wire wheels with chrome spokes.
The car is equipped with a blue PVC hood, complete with its frame, a tonneau cover, and side screens.
