Description
Capots Vintage, specialist in sports and collector vehicles in Lyon, offers for sale a Jaguar MK2 3. 8L from 1960:
Launched in the late 1950s, the Jaguar MK2 quickly established itself as one of the most capable and elegant saloons of its era. Appreciated for its balance of comfort, sportiness and refinement, it left its mark on automotive history both on the road and on track.
As attested by Jaguar Heritage, the model we present is a 3. 8L version, delivered new in Paris by official importer Delecroix on 14 January 1960. Shown in an elegant black-on-black configuration, it is distinguished by its chrome-spoked wheels and yellow headlights, creating a striking contrast. On the historical side, this vehicle has had only three owners since 1985.
The engine, matching numbers (head and block), is fitted with two SU HD8 carburettors and paired with a 4-speed manual gearbox. The braking system has been upgraded with the installation of a ventilated disc kit with four-piston calipers. In terms of equipment, the vehicle features a stainless steel exhaust, a kill switch, 3-point belts, and a neo-retro design radio.
Photo and video dossier available on request.
