Reason for sale: purchased earlier this year as a shared project with my mum, but she couldn’t quite take to the unique charms of a Defender, and I don’t have the time to give it the full use it deserves. The Land Rover Defender 90 is an enduring icon – built to go anywhere, carry anything, and keep on working. The 200Tdi models are especially sought after for their legendary reliability, simplicity, and charm.

As with many Defenders of this age, there are a few areas to attend to in future ownership: the bulkhead would benefit from repairs to the footwells and top corner, the wheel bearings are due for replacement, and there is a minor fuel leak from the top of the tank. None of these prevent the vehicle being enjoyed, but they are worth factoring in as part of ongoing maintenance.
