I am selling a 1984 Unimog 406 in Kommunal specification, equipped with disc brakes, a 20-speed transmission, a front power take-off, dual hydraulic circuit and a mechanical HPC 6t winch. Vehicle in mechanically perfect condition and largely bodywork restored, including replacement of the cab (including the interior and the cargo bed), all electrical wiring, and the seat upholstery. Headlights updated to Mercedes G styling via a kit from a German supplier, added the front hub oil recovery system, the antifreeze distributor for the brake circuit and the reversing light. MPT80 tyres at 70%. Purchased over twenty years ago in mechanically perfect condition but needing body repairs, which I carried out in the best possible way by replacing with new parts everything that was necessary. I’ve driven it for personal enjoyment as a off-road enthusiast and now, at 60, I’m selling it because the bureaucratic formalities for it and for me have become too much. I hope someone else gets passionate about it and keeps it alive for a long time. It’s an unstoppable vehicle, giving great satisfaction and it proves useful in a thousand ways.
