This FJ43 was produced by Japan for Middle East market in 1977, and was for a long time part of the collection of classic SUV of man wealthy man. The car was acquired by us in 2023 from Dubai Action and was brought to Europe—Milan, Italy. When the car had arrived it was in perfect condition with new leather seats and newly painted in its original colour.
Interesting fact: This is a genuine configuration for the Gulf market. Toyota delivered many trucks with FJ45 VINs with FJ43-style soft-top bodies in the 1970s. This vehicle is in perfect presentable condition, with working engine and ready for road and off-road trips. The vehicle comes with clean customs documents and can also be provided with homologation for Europe, or US.
The exterior is in its original colour "Mustard Yellow" (Code 532). It's equipped with sleek soft-top in sand colour, and includes original headlights and sand tires, making it ready for any adventure. All lights are working.
It has a medium-long wheelbase, making it something between FJ40 and FJ45.
It's equipped with radio, the gear box is working smoothly, along with the other features. The seats have been reupholstered in black leather, matching the original seats for the 1977 model year. It has rubber carpets all over the driver's and passenger's seats. We bought this car, because my father loved its retro style and design. It's a huge, and very capable SUV that is so pretty, it looks like an oversized toy. But at the same time this very car can drive through mud and mountains, and not be bothered by it. And the engine sound is a symphony of roughness and power. You can have it as a display car, but if things get tough, and apocalypses gets us all—you can escape from zombies and danger in style with this FJ43.
We have made our own collection of Classic Toyota Land Cruisers, which include: this Mustard Yellow FJ43; FJ40 from 1980 in Saint Moritz colour; FJ45 Pick-up from 1979 in Safari Beige colour; and FJ40 from 1972 in Rustic Green.
