Description
Absolutely rust free rebuild, completed in the 1980's and travelled less than 10, 000kms since 'nut'n'bolt' being rebuilt and reborn.
As shown, this is a beautiful example of the classic beautiful 4/ 4 appearance, but has been modified to improve performance, safety, reliability and comfort.
If like I wanted, you want to have the wonderful sweeping guards look from the 1940's but would prefer the safety, and reliability of the '80's , this could be the car for you. Sold new in Uruguay in 1948 as one of three green 4/ 4 exported from Morgan UK.
Imported into Australia in the 1980's and completely rebuilt and reimagined.
Photographs available as evidence that "Dorothy" was stripped down and given a more modern 'lease of life'.
Brand new wooden frame, new mechanics and a lovely yellow finish, and additional lights give a 'beefed up' appearance.
To add to the improved appearance, the beating heart of Dorothy and her driveline is from the very popular, brilliantly reliable A12 Nissan 1200. Handling and stopping are also improved, with confidence in her restraint via front disc brakes.
Inside the car has been redeveloped for comfort with bucket seats that have been completed with adjustable back tilt.
