I purchased this Land Cruiser in Dubai with the intention of restoring it here in the UK and eventually driving it across the UK and Europe. Unfortunately, I’m out of the country too often now, so regrettable I need to move it on. Serious great do up for someone.

A genuine chance to own an affordable and incredibly solid 1983 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 — one of the very last years of the 40 Series. The ’80s-model FJ40s are highly sought after as they came with the best factory specifications:
• Underfloor fuel tank
• Floor-mounted handbrake
• Upgraded braking system
• Larger leaf-spring suspension
• Squared front grille
These later models are extremely rare to find, especially in this condition.
This FJ40 was regularly driven prior to export and still starts, runs, and drives with a battery connected. It will need the usual basics before regular driving; oil and filters, spark plugs, brake hoses, brakes, and general servicing. All straightforward weekend jobs, and parts are affordable and widely available online.
Because the body is so dry and rust-free, this is an ideal easy restoration project. With a modest amount of work, it could quickly be brought up to a very good standard — and once restored, these FJ40s are worth serious money in the UK and European market.
