Description
This 2004 Lexus LS430 is an exceptionally well-maintained, low-mileage example of one of Lexus’ finest flagship luxury saloons. I purchased the car recently after searching for a clean and properly maintained LS430, and this example exceeded expectations. The only reason it is now offered for sale is due to an unexpected and genuine change in personal circumstances. Had this not occurred, I would not be parting with it.
The car has always been maintained to a very high standard. Any work required has been carried out promptly and correctly using genuine parts. It benefits from a long history of careful ownership, and notably underwent a professional multi-stage detail and Titan ceramic coating a few years ago at a cost of £1, 700. This included machine polishing, decontamination, ceramic coating and trim protection. The finish remains excellent, with a deep gloss and very clean presentation throughout.
Mechanically, the car is in superb order. The timing belt and water pump were replaced in 2022 at approximately 54, 000 miles. A brand-new genuine Lexus radiator and all associated pipework and hoses have been fitted, which is one of the most important preventative measures on an LS430 to eliminate the risk of coolant contamination of the transmission. The valve cover gaskets and throttle body gasket have also been replaced. The full air-conditioning pipework from front to back has been renewed and the system re-gassed. A full service was carried out in June 2025 at around 61, 900 miles, and the current mileage is 63, 084.
Further work includes new brake discs, pads and caliper bolts on all four corners. The Michelin tyres all have more than 6 mm of tread remaining. The underside has been protected throughout its life, having been waxoyled previously and then treated again with Lanoguard during 2025. The car recently passed its MOT with a single advisory for a fog light bulb, which has already been sourced and will be addressed. Lastly the troublesome steering column motors (both) were replaced by Lexus.
The interior is in outstanding condition, reflecting careful ownership. The leather, carpets, dash and trim all present extremely well, with minimal signs of age. All electrical systems work exactly as intended, including the heated and cooled seats, soft-close functions, memory settings and climate control. The Mark Levinson audio system performs perfectly. A Grom system has been installed to provide modern Apple CarPlay and Android Auto while retaining the original Lexus touchscreen and full OEM functionality.
On the road, the LS430 drives exactly as a sorted example should. The 3UZ-FE V8 is exceptionally smooth and quiet, the gearbox shifts seamlessly, and the cabin is refined at all speeds. There are no warning lights, vibrations or unwelcome mechanical noises. The car returns around 26 mpg in mixed use.
This LS430 stands out due to its low mileage, the completeness of its maintenance, and the fact that all major preventative work has already been carried out, including the timing belt, water pump, radiator and pipework, AC lines, manifold gaskets, full brake overhaul and multiple protective underbody treatments. The cosmetic presentation is also excellent thanks to the earlier professional detailing and ceramic coating.
It is a car that has been cared for properly, presents beautifully and is ready for many more years of reliable ownership. It is only being sold due to an unforeseen change in personal circumstances.
