Description
1970 Volkswagen Beetle – Air-Ride – L87 Pearl White – Restored.
A lovely 1970 Volkswagen Beetle, currently undergoing a careful restoration and offered for sale once complete by late 2026.
The beetle is going under some structural welding, new panels & steering mods, making it safer and reliable for future use.
I am also having Sound deadening installed within the Beetle for a more comfortable ride.
Finished in a timeless VW Pearl White L87, this Beetle has a fantastic presence and classic proportions.
A standout feature is the professionally installed air-ride suspension by EvaResto Ltd, giving the car an excellent stance when parked while remaining practical and enjoyable to drive.
The car benefits from a JBL / Pioneer sound system, roof rack, and is supplied with two surfboards and a drinks cooler, adding a relaxed lifestyle feel that suits the Beetle perfectly.
It also has seatbelts front and rear, a fire extinguisher, and lovely alloy wheels with good tyres.
All interior components are in good working order.
As part of the restoration, new heater channels are being professionally welded in, new floor pans, along with a large number of brand new Just Kampers parts to make this beetle super robust going forward.
All work is being carried out by professionals in Waltham Abbey, Essex, with repairs finished and sprayed to match the body colour VW L87 Pearl White.
The Beetle will be fully treated, with mechanical and electrical systems checked and repaired where needed, ensuring it is a solid, reliable runner.
A full list of works and parts replaced is available upon request.
I will update the listing every two or three months as the work needs completion, which hopefully will be September to October 2026.
The price will reflect the quality and extent of the restoration.
A great opportunity to acquire a tastefully restored, air-ride-equipped 1970 Beetle ready to be enjoyed.
Any questions in the meantime, please feel free to message me and I will get back to you.
Thanks Gareth – the details below
There’s a reason the Volkswagen Beetle remains one of the most loved cars ever built. It makes people smile. It sparks conversations. It turns even the shortest drive into an occasion.
This 1970 Beetle captures everything enthusiasts love about the model — timeless looks, honest character, and simple enjoyment — enhanced with a subtle modern touch. The Cream / Beige finish suits it beautifully, while the air-ride gives it a perfect stance without losing its usability.
Restored to be driven, not hidden away, this is the kind of classic you take out on sunny days, park up at shows, or simply enjoy for the pleasure of it.
Easy to like, hard to forget, and guaranteed to be enjoyed by its next owner.
Thanks
Gareth
