Description
This beautiful A35 was registered on the 14th January 1959. I am the 4th owner. The second owner purchased it in 1969 and owned it for 55 years. During that time it was off the road for a while then subject to a full restoration over several years. The photographic record shows the car completely stripped. Everything removed. The engine which ticks over sweetly was rebuilt. The interior all in great condition was refitted along with new carpets and headlining. All bodywork issues were addressed then the car was painted inside and out in its original spruce green. Which still looks fantastic today. The chrome work was replaced although I have been told the overrides are original.
The A35 has its original numberplate although now not transferable. The owner having carried out the restoration had to apply to get the number back through the DVLA.
The cars mot ran out mid November, although it is tax and mot exempt I am happy to put it through a new test. The car is completely solid
In my ownership I have replaced the sump and oil filter housing gaskets. Fitted a new old stock dashboard which is now showing 8 miles although the correct mileage is around 40000. I have had one area of paintwork professionally repaired on the nearside rear wing. The whole car now looks amazing.
