francis barnett 1956 225cc cruiser, good tyres, all lights work, ammeter shows its charging, very good compression, i bought it to ride on sunny weekends short journeys to local shows but never got it on the road, front and rear brakes need attention, its been standing for about 18 months the engine has been turned over regularly, i started it on 20 december 2025 but had to use easy start, it eventually ran on its own petrol but had to keep the revs high it would not idle, it will need the carb cleaning/ engine service and new six volt battery to get it working properly, the ign key is not original, paintwork is good and bright, wheel rim chrome has some rust showing where it meets the gold and green lines, i have new V5 and older V5 for it showing just two owners, the first owner recorded on the registration date 5 may 1956, it has the original reg number and it is transferable which adds considerable value to the bike. cash on collection crewe cheshire. with very little work this would be a nice bike in very good condition
