For sale a superb example of the Porsche 986 in S variant. The car has covered 31, 500 miles and has had three previous owners. In terms of condition there is very little that can be found to fault it and it drives as well as it looks. Recently serviced by MLR Porsche the car is a standout example of the perfect mid-engined flat six Porsche.
The S variant was a more capable road car in many ways, with larger brakes, six speed manual and a more powerful flat six 3. 2 litre engine that offered 5. 6 seconds 0-60mph over the standard 2. 7 which managed 6. 5 seconds in manual form. The S also had the triple front radiator arrangement.
This example is spec'd with some nice options. Firstly a set of the very expensive 18 inch two piece Sport Design alloy wheels. These are all in unmarked condition and have been shod in the last 200 miles with a set of Porsche correct Pirelli Zero Rosso tyres. The interior has some nice options to compliment the stunning 'Porsche Red' interior such as the aluminium finishes on the handbrake and doors and embossed Porsche logo headrests. The leather two way electric 'Sports' seats which are in exceptional condition, have the heated option making open top motoring in cool conditions a joy. Other options on this car include the Automatic anti-dazzle interior mirror and door mirrors and rain sensor, Xenon Headlamps with washers, PSM Porsche Stability Management, 6 speaker sound system, Automatic air conditioning, Storage box (incl. speakers) on engine cover and Leather dashboard and door panels. The overall ambience of the interior with the three spoke sports wheel is absolutely wonderful.
The car has been well looked after and at its recent inspection, no faults were found. The oil which was changed was found to be particularly clear. There have been some useful items of maintenance carried out over the years including the coil packs and additionally the springs were replaced with RUF items, slightly lowered and an H&R roll bar kit installed. The net result is that the car handles superbly on the road.
The paint is unmarked and has a wonderful gloss finish. Both front and rear boots are immaculate and show little sign of any use. The battery has been replaced in the last few miles.
