Description
I’m selling a 1973 Fiat 500 R, the last model produced, i. e., the most usable among the various Fiat 500 versions. In fact, this one uses the 600 cc engine, like the 126 model, with a gearbox whose gears are synchronised apart from first gear and reverse, and then the more robust half-shafts compared with the previous series. As with the older versions, this also has the small black dash, as does the steering wheel; another detail that sets it apart is the metal wheels, which are like those fitted to the 126 model released in those years, which would later take the place of the now “geriatric” Fiat 500, which, however, has made Italian motoring history, not only for its timeless design but also because in its compactness and simplicity it had everything essential, and above all it was a cabrio, or at least a nice opening roof over the head that made others dream and gave a strong sense of freedom and carefree spirit. This Fiat 500 R is in excellent preserved condition, it has been repainted only externally in recent years, keeping almost all original metal parts, except for the sills (flat floors), which, given the very low cost, have been replaced, likewise the bumpers, both front and rear, while for the upholstery and trim it would seem everything is original. The car runs very well and is ready to use, it still has its original multi-page booklet, and its original number plates. The car is viewable in Roncade, Treviso, Italy, and if requested, we can organise transport at a competitive price, or facilitate a third-party carrier to collect it from our premises.
