WAS: £5, 750. NOW: £5, 150
After a question, these were some answers so perhaps useful to others too... "The suspension (surprisingly) works when I click up and down etc. the electric seats work. the AC might need gassing but I have a gas machine in the storage place so can have it topped up before collecting it. the stereo is normal part but the speakers are the Harden Harden from factory. sunroof works, windows all work too. The symbol I am not sure abut I am afraid. If you want to see the car and test all these bits she is in London."
This Range Rover was ordered new in 1997 by the Managing Director of Ford UK and remained in his family ownership from new. I acquired the car directly from them, and I have used it lightly but not much it is stored in a closed garage in London.
Oslo Blue with a Light Tan leather interior. Over its life it has covered 137, 000 miles, which it has taken comfortably, benefiting from consistent care rather than short-term ownership/ not looked after.
The car has been diligently maintained throughout its life, with a fully documented service history comprising main dealer and respected marque specialist servicing spanning more than two decades (photographs of service records are available in the listing here if you scroll enough). The 4. 6-litre V8 remains smooth and effortless, paired with the ZF automatic gearbox and permanent four-wheel-drive system that made the P38 such a capable long-distance car.
Inside, the cabin still feels authentic to the period. Supple tan leather, walnut veneers, and the unmistakable late-1990s ambience. Features such as heated seats, climate control and the original audio system remain in place, and the car has aged with dignity rather than feeling tired or over-restored.
This is an opportunity to acquire a one-family-from-new Range Rover P38 with impeccable provenance and a genuine link to British motoring history. I have simply been its latest custodian, and it now deserves to pass to someone who understands what these cars represent, whether as a future collectible or a deeply characterful, usable classic.
