Description
Original and unrestored, never welded, 17500 miles from new. Condition 1, show car. Won best in class in August 2025 Southwell Norwood Park Classic Car Show. ‘Cadulac’ rustproofing from new with all original black bungs present. This is a very rare car which has been ‘babied’ and maintained throughout its 46+ years life. It has never been used as every day transport or driven in Winter or inclement weather. The colour is Vermillion which is an orange/ red. The interior is black and retains the original striped grey and black velour seats, head restraints and also seat belt retainers. Being a later car it has advantages ie raised ride height making it easier to enter and alight; more compliant suspension giving better ride quality; stronger body; later Laycock overdrive.
There are many MGB’s for sale but, in my own experience, most have problems, mainly poor quality restoration, bad panel fit, corrosion issues, questionable ‘upgrades’ and most need capital expenditure. I speak from experience as an ex Automotive Engineer. I have, in the past, and after detailed shortlisting, travelled many miles to view cars which were inaccurately described.
If, like me, you prefer ‘original and unrestored’ cars in A1 condition you will not be disappointed. I am now a senior citizen who has owned many classic cars over the years. I only buy the best and, ipso facto only sell the best. You will not be disappointed.
This MGB is one of the very best original cars in the UK. Remember the old adage ‘you get what you pay for’.
I will add more pictures when the weather allows.
