This 1979 Land Rover Series III 88” is unrestored, never undersealed, and preserved in astonishingly original condition**, showing just 6, 172 km from new. Vehicles like this simply do not exist anymore.
The chassis is still in its factory paint, with all original markings visible. The load area is virtually unmarked, the body panels are straight, and every detail confirms how lightly this vehicle has been used and how carefully it has been stored. The original soft top is still fitted (slightly faded, as you would expect), and while a new hood could be supplied, we deliberately chose to keep it as original as possible.

### History
Delivered new in Italy in 1979, this petrol-powered Series III is an unusual choice for the Italian market. Shortly after purchase, the original owner sadly passed away. The Land Rover was then stored in a garage, where it remained untouched for decades, as the owner’s wife did not want to part with it.
By 2019, the vehicle had covered only 4, 120 km. It was finally sold to a Land Rover enthusiast, who carefully recommissioned it and used it sparingly. After a few more years, it was sold again and came to us in the Netherlands.
Since arriving, it has undergone a careful inspection and full service, including:
* Replacement of clutch and master cylinders
* Brake system overhaul
* Sympathetic recommissioning with absolute respect for originality
