BMW R100RT – Low Mileage, Excellent Condition, Extensive History
This BMW R100RT was purchased as part of a pair of Airhead BMWs, alongside an earlier R80RT originally intended as a donor bike. The initial plan was to build a custom project using the R100RT, however it quickly became clear that this example is far too good to dismantle. It is a low-mileage bike that has clearly been well cared for, properly stored, and maintained throughout its life, and it deserves to be enjoyed in its original form. The R80RT will now become the custom project as it is a non-runner.
On arrival, the bike was lightly recommissioned with fresh fuel, tyre pressures checked, oil level inspected, and brakes tested. The carburettor bowls were removed and the jets cleaned as a precaution after storage. The bike started immediately, settled into a smooth idle, and ran very well. It was then ridden to an MOT and general inspection, which it passed with no advisories.
The bike comes with a large amount of service history and documentation showing consistent care by previous owners, giving real confidence in its condition and maintenance.
It rides exactly as a good Airhead should — smooth, stable, and comfortable — making it ideal for classic touring in the UK or Europe.

Brakes functioning correctly. Forks would benefit from fresh oil as routine maintenance. Rear monoshock shows light surface rust only and remains serviceable.

Seat and fairing are in very good condition. Minor age-related fading to instruments and switchgear only.

All lights, instruments, and switches working correctly.
