Ridden by Colin Marshall & Gordon Russell
Honda Bol Dor CB900 fitted with some HRC mods including a dry sump conversion - originally purchased as a complete machine from Geoff Brett Motorcycles, ridden by Chris Guy, fitted into a Peckett and McNabb race chassis.
Converted back to a standard Honda chassis by Colin Marshall and altered by Nick Parrovani, with a modified swinging arm, frame bracing, oil tank, top and bottom yokes, and fitted with “high” handlebars.
Colin was a privateer, with some support from PDT who made “flight cases” in which the bike was transported to and from events, including the Macau GPs in 1982, 83 & 84, Colin also entered the bike into the 1st ever UK round of the World Endurance Championship, held at the Silverstone GP circuit. Colin’s second rider for this event was Gordon Russell (CRMC), and they finished a credible 16th place. Colin also rode the bike in the British F1 races, held at, Donnington, Snetterton, Brands Hatch & later entered the Isle of Man, Senior TT. obtaining a replica. Colin continued to enjoy success in the far east with a 1st in Class & 9th overall @ the 1984 Macau Grand Prix. He then moved away from the UK to make a career, racing in Asia, @ circuits in Thailand, Malaysia, & Indonesia.
The machine was returned to UK sponsor Robin Spring, who had the machine restored by Nigel Everett. Use the bike for Classic racing, track days, ride it on the road or add it to your collection
