Description
1995 rolls-royce silver spirit iv – peacock blue
rare final-series spirit iv – last rolls-royce-engined model, peacock blue with magnolia hide, superb condition.
this is a genuine silver spirit iv, the final and most developed version of the spirit range. Only 145 were built worldwide and just 114 in right-hand drive, making this an especially rare example.
the spirit iv benefitted from several improvements over the spirit iii, including the 4-speed gm automatic gearbox (replacing the earlier 3-speed), zytek electronic fuel injection, revised bumpers and mirrors, a redesigned dashboard and centre console, and subtly re-styled seats with vertical fluting. These refinements made it the most usable and refined of the series.
it’s also the last standard-wheelbase rolls-royce to use a rolls-royce-built engine, before bmw influence began — an important point for collectors.
finished in peacock blue with magnolia leather piped in navy blue, complemented by dark blue carpets and a blue leather dashboard top, the interior presents beautifully with rich burr walnut veneers. Everything feels as it should, with switches, gauges, and electrics working properly.
the car drives superbly, smooth and quiet as a rolls-royce should. It’s been clearly cherished and remains in excellent condition throughout. A very desirable, rare and refined example of the last and best of the spirit line.
viewings welcome by appointment in bridgnorth, shropshire.
