Description
Here we have for sale one of the most versatile 2009 Land Rover Defender 130 TDCi Puma's on the planet which has had an incredible expedition camper conversion by RIG Automotive. Build number 2 of only 7, this is their Legacy Edition, ex demonstrator with very low miles and fully ready for its next adventure.
This particular build took external design inspiration from the 2015 limited edition Defender Heritage in stunning metallic Grasmere Green which pays tribute to the original 1948 Series I Land Rover. Inside is just as utilitarian with plenty of storage but with a touch of luxury. Warm woods and tan leather with LED Seamless lighting give it a modern but homely feel. Having the technology to be truly off grid was also important in this build so you can really explore those usually inaccessible beauty spots.
With seatbelts for 4 and sleeping for 4 (2 up, 2 down), this is a true go anywhere getaway vehicle for all the family. Featuring all the modern amenities associated with a camper conversion such as gas hob, fridge, sink, running hot water, external shower, night heater, pop up roof with sleeping accommodation / extra headroom, 3 seater fold down bench seat / bed, projector with screen etc etc, but in an exceptionally cool and well designed package that has only a slightly larger footprint than a modern SUV.
RIG 2 is one RIG Automotive's most adaptable builds with the added benefit of carrying an electric motorbike for extra exploring when you're pitched up (available by separate negotiation). Being the Legacy model it has the vintage Land Rover looks combined with the modern running gear from the later Puma derived Defender. In the rear the fold down 3 seater bench seat also transforms into a single or double bed utilising deluxe foam filled cushions for ultimate comfort. Imagine pulling up at Goodwood Race Circuit with your vintage race car on tow and pit bike in the back! Has to be the ultimate vintage race transporter!Base vehicle was originally owned from new by British Red Cross so highly maintained but little used with exceptionally low 27k original miles. Inspected and chassis undersealed by the UK's largest independent Defender specialist Nene Overland for total peace of mind for the new owner. Also comes fully serviced.

"In an ever-more competitive marketplace, 'the best' is the level everyone needs to be achieving. Some succeed, some never get off the ground while others are so creative they defy being pigeonholed. Which is what RIG Automotive did with this Land Rover - and when you look at the amount of features packed into it, you can see why people continue to flock around it at every show they visit." - The Landy
