- Belt and tensioner replaced using genuine BMW belt and INA tensioner
- Large DISA valve replaced with genuine BMW part
- Oil filter-block seal replaced
- Gearbox oil changed with Redline
- Never had any issues mechanically, engine runs quiet and smooth, idles perfectly, vanos engages as it should. The N52 is widely considered one of BMW’s most reliable petrol engines ever made.
FULL REAR END RESTORATION
Rear end was stripped, suspension all removed, chassis taken back to bare metal and painted. Work was commissioned by mbits in Cheshire (M-power specialist)
Refurbished:
- Low mileage 335d subframe blasted and powdercoated
- Lower spring arms powdercoated
- Underbody brace powdercoated
- Driveshafts taken back to metal and painted
- Differential cleaned back to clean metal and painted with POR15, serviced with fresh Millers oil
- Fuel tank straps cleaned back
- Rear body taken back to metal, primed, painted with POR15, prepped and further painted with ceramic reinforced grey raptor liner!
New Parts When Refurbished 2 Yrs Ago:
- All rear end bushes replaced
- Powerflex black series lower subframe bush inserts
- E9x M3 rear arm conversion (TRW arms)
- Rear e93 anti-roll bar with powerflex bushes
- Whiteline subframe and differential bushes (not too harsh)
- Hard race rear toe arms (pillowball conversion +++)
- New spring cup pads
- New FAG rear wheel bearings
- New ATE rear handbrake
- New ATE rear handbrake cables
- New aluminium solid brake lines (chassis to braided lines)
- New genuine BMW brake backing plates
- Rear wheels hubs blasted and painted
- All nuts and bolts replaced with genuine BMW and zinc plated
- All new genuine heat-shields above exhaust, diff and rear trans tunnel
- New genuine rear lower spring pads
- New MONROE rear top mount (upgraded rubber version compared to factory foam style)

- Exhaust post CAT manifold gasket replaced with fresh nuts/ bolts
- New gearbox mount 034 motorsport bushes (reinforced rubber compound)
- Factory wheels refurbished in shadow silver.
- 225/ 40/ 18 & 245/ 40/ 18 Michelin Pilot Sport 5 only 3 months old, covered only 2k miles.
