Being sold after 5 years of ownership is my lovely Mercedes S Class S500. This is the long wheel base.
Car has done 71, 700 miles of which i have done 8, 000 miles since I purchased it back in June 2021 from a classic car dealer. Please note the Private registration is not included and will revert back to its original.
This W140 is a 1998 car and its in Ruby Red Metallic with Orion grey leather. The wheels which are my personal favourite are 18" which were correctly refurbished in the daimond cut polished finish by the dealer who i bought the car off and they still remain perfect. I have both fully working original 3 button remote keys, all the books and manuals and service booklet with all the stamps. Stamped up by Mercedes Main Dealer till 2013 60, 000 miles then was serviced by the dealer who I bought the car off which was a full service and then I've had it serviced twice. Recent Service only two months ago by my local Merc independent. As a pre caution I also replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter.
In my ownership car has had new front genuine coil springs (parts from mercedes) new front wishbones, new inner tie rods and four wheel alignment, rear drop links, central locking pump, new battery, Front brake discs + Pads, Rear Dunlop Tyres, 2x services. It's been a fantastic car but I belive the time is right to move it on as its not getting as much use as it should, averages 1500 to 2000 miles a year and is mostly parked inside the garage (gets driven maybe once a week at the moment)
Condition wise its a lovely genuine car with no rust at all. It has a few minor marks here and there like small stone chips on the front bumper, small little marks around the car but nothing out of the ordinary for a car of this age. It is a lovely low mileage car which still has years and years of enjoyment left for someone. All the electrics work perfectly, the air con is Ice Cold, all the seats operate as they should as do the mirrors which also fold in, the soft close doors and Lumbar Support Adjustments work beautifully, the Sunroof operates as it should, Heated Seats are amazing in the winter time. The Engine And Gearbox are bullet proof and Operate Perfectly. The car drives amazing and will surely make you smile when behind the wheel.
The V5 is in my name and address, all the paperwork for the car and both keys are present with all documentation and book pack etc.

The W140 was a car Mercedes weren't shy to put everything into and I had always wanted a long wheel base 500 and It certainly didnt disappoint, this car commands respects and it surely deserves it. I have driven modern cars and they don't compare in the slightest to this. The 140 was a childhood dream car for me seeing them in movies and the way they were portrayed was just amazing. I wish they still made cars like the W140, these will never be repeated again In automotive history.
