A regrettable but genuine reason for the private sale of this 2006 BMW 630I SPORT AUTO purchased new by a friend at LIND BMW of Chelmsford in 2006.
From quite possibly BMW's finest era of 'Ultimate Driving Machines', it has a very high specification including a very powerful straight six 3 litre engine, automatic sport gearbox with a sumptuous leather and wood-trimmed interior.
On the button with 2 keys, all book packs and history, last serviced just 250 miles ago with an advisory-free MOT until November 2026.
Finished in Stratus grey pearlescent metallic with extremely straight coachwork with just the odd 20 year old defects - as to be expected.
Power is instant, gearbox is extremely smooth in both modes, idle is almost silent with no nasty ticks, rattles or smoke, kickdown is immense with a decent throaty note from the twin exhausts.
Features at minimum; 19" alloy wheels wrapped in Bridgestone tyres all round, 2 working remote keys, full cream leather interior (aged but not torn or ripped) and still retaining original smell, fixed panoramic sunroof with electric blind, CD/ DVD/ TV/ NAV/ PHONE and Bluetooth, heated electric front seats, ICE cold air conditioning with digital climate control throughout, thumping 10 speaker factory sound system, cruise control, voice activation and much more.
On the whole a lovely example of an appreciating 20 year old luxury coupe that can be enjoyed effortlessly.
There are a few negatives that have been factored into the price but am willing to negotiate ONLY a sensible offer on, they are as follows.
Rear window has a hairline crack from the bottom to halfway up, the cause is unknown, it is not affecting the car or vision.
Very small amount of surface bubble rust on lower drivers door (hardly noticeable).
Front windscreen rubber is starting to perish.
Alloy wheels would benefit from a re-paint to make perfect.
The front tyres made it through MOT fine but personally I think through lack of use they could ultimately do with replacing for maximum grip as per factory.
There is a small oil leak, this has never been concerning, never affected it's running or performance but it's there and I will not make any attempt to hide the fact.
At the last MOT I discussed previous advisories, some small issues have been adhered to prior to and after and I was told "it amounts to a whole bunch of nothing for nearly 20 year old car".
Any search, inspection or test drive is welcome, please note it is not a fully blown show car with a mirrored floor, it's priced accordingly and as previously mentioned, a serious decent offer could be considered.
A genuine reason for sale is that I have no space for it anymore.
