Description
This is a tuned Genuine Honda Monkeybike built to a high specification by Monkeybike Uk in 2004 and lent to the Hairy Bikers in 2005 for a tv programme to ride around the Isle of Man.
It is one of a pair and I have the other one to sell as well.
They specialised in building monkeys using high quality Japanese parts from
Kitsch, Takegawa Daytona etc and they cost fortunes to build.
They were changed from 35 mph machines to 60-65 mph machines with rapid acceleration, great suspension and brakes.
I found and bought the sister bike in 2011 and this one in 2023.
The last owner was the only one since Monkeybike UK in 2005.
He bought it after it appeared on TV.
They belong together as they were the stars of the Hairy Bikers program on the Isle of Man. The bikes are featured in the recent Hairy Bikers you’ll never ride alone episode as well
I want to sell them as a pair so speak to me about a deal for them both.
Having spent so long bringing them together, I want them to remain together.
They ride and run superbly and sound amazing.
It is an 88cc conversion with a super head, custom free flow exhaust, CDI, big bore carb etc.
Spec is shown in one of these photos. I bought the bike after 12 years of searching for it and the owner had bought it in 2005 after the Hairy Bikers program.
It belongs with the black Gorilla, which I have owned since 2011.
I want to sell them together and would prefer to see them in a museum as a Hairy Biker’s tribute.
