Description
I am selling my beloved jeep I have owned it for 12 years and have completely restored her from the ground up.
Manufactured in May 1943 the Jeep was in British service and most probably on an airfield.
The timeline between the engine block and chassis build are pretty close to what it would have been. The engine has just had a complete overhaul by Jeffery Engineering and has not done a 1000 miles yet, the block is now back on standard bores and pistons ( cost me £5000) plus all other components done.
Everything works on this Jeep, she is on 12v and has a 12v electronic regulated fuel pump.
Brakes are spot on.
Gearbox and transfer case were totally overhauled again by Jeffery Engineering.
The Tub is repro but I have done it to a very high standard.
Unlike most people, I have completely rubbed down all of the body components and I have re-primed using a very expensive primer before painting ( the standard primer simply does not adhere to other paint). Also, every seam on the underneath of the tub and wings have been sealed using tiger seal to modern car standards, blocking out any water ingress.
There is absolutely no rot or rust on this Jeep and it has been Lanogard treated.
It has a summer canvas and comes with a dummy . 30 cal mounted on a genuine pintle and mount.
Has canvas screen cover, side doors and rear cover plus canvas side rear cushions.
12v motor wiper for drivers side. Modern trailer socket.
Tyres are in excellent condition.
US markings with Brit markings on magnetic backgrounds.
Steering box is perfect and has been replaced. Starter motor is a correct 12v unit.
Happy to answer any questions. The vehicle that won the second world war and inspired the world
