Description
This 2016 Jaguar F‑Type 3. 0 V6 S AWD combines everyday usability with genuine sporting character. A car you can drive to work, park at the pub (and I dare you to try not looking back at it as you walk away) and it'll pay you back in smiles at the weekend.
The car is a MY2017 build which benefits from improved interior switchgear and revised hood vents to avoid early injector failure. It has 54, 000 miles and a complete service history maintained by independent Jaguar specialists, with service intervals being no more than 8k miles between during my ownership after purchased from a Lotus specialist in the South East. Recent service completed in March 2026 and MOT valid until August 2026.
The car has two small cosmetic marks which are shown in the photos. HPI clear.
Specification includes panoramic sunroof, Meridian sound system, cruise control, DAB radio, Jaguar Assistance, reversing camera (for some reason, this was not a default option in those that I viewed before purchasing this one!). I looked at close to 15 F-Types across the south of England before settling on this one and it just ticked every box.
I'll be extremely sad to see the car go as my experience has been faultless, the car has been more reliable than any of the more practical Jags I've owned. I do however need to start looking for something with more boot space and seats, hence the reason for sale.
Viewing by appointment in Ipswich. Open to reasonable offers, but any excuse for me to keep the car - I'll take it!This F‑Type delivers the drama of a true sports car with everyday usability. It’s immediate and engaging from the moment you turn the key... a compact, planted coupe that feels alive through corners yet composed on longer journeys. The Santorini Black finish and clean lines still turn heads, while the AWD chassis gives confidence in all conditions, so it’s as usable in wet British weather as it is thrilling on a clear weekend run.
I chose this car for the balance it offers: genuine performance without the impracticalities of an extreme supercar. It’s a later‑2016 build, so it benefits from the small but meaningful improvements that make ownership easier, and every service has been carried out by Jaguar specialists so it’s been looked after properly. It’s not a garage queen by any means, it’s a car that gets used and enjoyed, which means everything that matters mechanically has been maintained.
It's hard to pick just one thing that I would say is my favourite thing about the car, but the engine note and throttle response are up there, and they are addictive - the V6 sings in a way that makes ordinary drives feel like an event. Combine that soundtrack with sharp steering and a planted chassis and you get a car that rewards both calm cruising and spirited driving. That immediacy is what makes this F‑Type special and why it’s hard to stop smiling when you drive it.
