Description
For sale my Yamaha CT175, the bike V5 is in my name and classed has an historic vehicle. It is a non matching no’s- the engine is from an earlier machine.
The previous owner had carried out works including powder coating the frame, engine rebore and re chrome of the forks and left the bike has a period off road enduro. The bike came to me with non standard air filter and the runs on premix oil/ fuel mix, oil pump removed and blanked off.
My intention was to restore the bike back to standard spec, while still be able to ride on the road, but finding parts locally uk, not having enough spare time and not riding the bike, it’s time to sell.
I did manage to find a standard exhaust (non standard baffle fitted) and front mudguard, the speedo(rs100), head light, indicators, rear tail light(rs100) and handlebar switches are non standard. There is no key ignition fitted, the bike kicks straight of from the generator with a kill switch on the handlebar. There is a separate fused battery circuit for lights etc with a toggle switch. The front wheel is 21 inch rim and not the standard 18 inch rim. The bike is in good condition, though the tank is marked and there is a dent on the side, though it’s pretty clean inside for 50yrs old. The bike comes with spares - exhaust, pair rear shocks, fork brace, plastic mudguard, 21 inch front wheel, moto cross tyres, rear sprocket and work shop manual. (See photos)The bike was imported from the USA approx 2013, The previous private owner had carried out works including powder coating the frame, engine rebore and re chrome of the forks. I purchased the bike in 2020 as a period off road enduro. The bike was road registered in uk 2024 and the V5 is classed historic vehicle.
