Selling on behalf of my grandmother who’s decided to give up driving due to age.
Drives excellently, largely original. Limited use and diligent care means it still drives as new. Engine and gearbox as they should be, clutch original on these miles but feels great.
Always been looked after where needed recently had new battery, coolant pipe refresh and brakes.
Formally a Marshall demonstrater and bought from the dealer by my grandparents on c. 1200 miles in 2003 and been cherished since. The car still sports Marshall dealer sticker and original rear plate (the original front plate had to be changed for MOT but is with the car still).
In the following 23 years the car has covered just over 50k miles, for the past 15 years of that used only once a week to the hairdressers!
Always been garaged, having only spent a handful of summer nights outside when theyve holidayed to the south coast.
Car presents excellently, paintwork still has a deep lustre free from any deep parking scratches or dents. Interior nice and clean with only slight wear to outer drivers bolster.
Cosmetically the only areas that lets the car down are the alloys, which do need a refurb (the car would benefit from a set of rear tyres aswell if it is to be used more regularly).
Some minor bubbling of the rear arch has crept in mainly on the drivers side. Confident this could be brushed back and blown over as it is in the very early stages; my Grandfathers been unable to clean it as thoroughly in recent years due to age which has caused this I suspect. Perhaps forgiveable as he is now approaching 90.
There is also some wear to the ashtray lid on the centre console, seems endemic to soft touch car plastics of this era.
Save for that it is faultless, the photos speak for themselves.
Even comes with a near full tank of petrol, be worth more than the car soon!
