Golf 1. 8GL LHD
Imported from Sweden by previous owner, also spent some of its life in Iceland. Despite the harsh winters, they don’t use salt on the roads, just a course grit. Although the car has some stone chips, there is no corrosion!
The underside of the car is in excellent condition, has never needed welding, and never plastered in under seal to hide problems.
The interior is in good clean condition, with no rips or marks.
I believe it is winterised, it has heated seats headlamp washers, power steering, also a socket under the front bumper which was to connect to a power supply to stop it freezing in the winter. I have never checked if this works due to the non u. k. connection.
It recently passed it MOT, with only a couple of jobs needed. When I found this car I had been looking for a GTI, but was unable to find anything at a reasonable price which hadn’t been welded or have a terrible MOT history!
I love the look of this car, it attracts a lot of positive comments when out and about, we have traveled to shows and enjoyed many outings and a few holidays.
