Something a bit different. A 1998 Hyundai 1. 5 MVi. Apparently only around 31 left?
The basics:
• 142, 000ish miles
• 12 months MOT, HPI clear
• 3 keys!
• 1. 5 MVi engine with approx. 100hp !! Flying machine.
• 5-speed petrol manual with comically long gear throws
• No service history
I bought this from a mate who’s in the car trade purely for a laugh. It drives far better than it has any right to, feels light and surprisingly fun.
The good bits:
• Runs and drives
• Cool alloy wheels
• Factory yellow fog lights
• Rear spoiler to handle all 100hp!
• Sunroof
• Radio
• Green cloth seats that are actually fairly comfy
The honest bits:
• Paintwork is 50 shades of silver
• Bonnet has been rattle-canned matte silver
• 0 service history. none. nothing.
• Rust on both rear arches
• Both windows do not work, one is taped up to stop it falling down. Haven't looked into this as has not bothered me and it passed MOT like this.
• Overall cosmetically rough – please check photos carefully. But then again what do you expect for a 28 year hatchback with 140+ thousand miles.
I’ve driven it around quite a bit and it drives well. Only selling because I don’t really need it anymore and it was purely a laugh for a few weeks. I’ve had my fun so time to let someone else enjoy this fine piece of South Korean engineering.
Private sale. Sold as seen. No come backs. No group viewings. It’s a cheap unique car with a years MOT. Its 28 years old, manage expectations please. Also, please take time to read the advert, it will save both you and me time; I have had 3 people ask me when the most recent cambelt was done... I do not know, because, again, as previously mentioned it has NO service history. Thanks for reading. No history as stated as above. None, nothing.
