Description
Here is a list of the work done to it to put it in its present condition.
• Front hub is new replica with sealed bearings
• Rear hub machined to suit new sealed bearings
• Both wheels new rims and spokes then assemble and true (by Central Wheels)
• Both wheels new brake linings and new tyres
• Most nuts, bolts and studs made in stainless steel
• Frame and many parts powder coated black
• Seat repaired and fitted with new cover (by R K Leighton)
• All required nickel plating done
• Fuel tank was lined in 2025
• Gearbox checked over and reassembled with new bearings, new sprocket and nut
• All smaller parts such as cables, chains, rubbers, levers new
• Both flywheels and con rod sourced from well known AJS tuner
• Flywheels and conrod overhauled (by Alpha bearings). New crankpin, new big end, new small end then fully align
• New JP Piston rings etc fitted

• New exhaust pipe and silencer made (by Armours)
• Magneto repaired and fully overhauled (by Dave Lindsley)
• Carburettor rebored, all moving parts new, fully refurbished (by Martin Bratby)
• Many other parts made, sourced or modified including new tinware for guards etc. I bought this as a wreck in 2019. I know nothing of its early history. I have had it confirmed that both engine and frame numbers are correct for a 1927 350 "big port". I did the full rebuild from 2020 until spring 2024 when it was finished.
I then rode it in vintage events in both 2024 and 2025 covering about 750 miles in total without any problems.
It was not built as a concourse bike as I built it to ride and use but it has picked up some awards including Best Veteran and Vintage at the 2025 Scottish Motorcycle Show.
