Overview:
This is a very well-sorted Mk2 Golf GTI that’s had a huge amount of work carried out to bring it up to a really high standard. It’s been treated to a full glass-out respray along with extensive mechanical and chassis refurbishment, and has covered less than 500 miles since completion.
The car presents extremely well and comes with a substantial history file, including a fully stamped service book prior to my ownership.

Body & Exterior:
The car was stripped down for a proper glass-out respray, with the doors, bonnet, tailgate and all glass removed to ensure a quality finish. During the work, a few minor areas were addressed properly:
- Rear inner and outer arches replaced using Heritage panels
- Sills replaced where required
- Shell is now solid and in excellent condition
- Genuine BBS body kit (rare and suits the car perfectly)
- Refurbished Borbet alloy wheels
- Brand new Toyo tyres
- 4-bar grille, smoked indicators and crosshair headlights
- Team Heko wind deflectors and tailgate trim
Overall the car presents very straight with a deep, clean finish.

Interior:
The interior has been retrimmed by well-known trimmer MJ and finished to a high standard:
- Hand-stitched leather dashboard and interior trims
- Electric front seats from an Audi S3, retrimmed to match
- Rallye-style door cards, part trimmed
- New headlining and sunroof seal
It’s a tasteful OEM+ style interior that still feels right for the car.

Chassis & Suspension:
A lot of work has been carried out underneath:
- Rear axle removed, refurbished and stone-chipped
- New axle bushes
- New front suspension arms and drop links
- CV joints rebuilt with new boots
- New brake lines where needed
- New discs and pads all round
- FK coilovers fitted (in good serviceable condition)
- Rear camber shims for improved stance

Engine & Mechanical:
The original 1. 8 Digifant engine is in great order and has had plenty of maintenance:
- Cambelt kit replaced
- Full service including fluids, plugs and HT leads
- New expansion tank and cooling components
- Heater matrix and flap seals replaced
- New gear linkage
The engine starts immediately, runs smoothly and pulls well. The gearbox is also in excellent condition.
