Description
Manufactured in 1971 and badged at the time as the Gold Star Street Scrambler, this BSA B25 left the Small Heath factory on 2 February 1971 for export to Baltimore, USA, where it remained for many years before returning to the UK in January 2020.
It is registered with DVLA and has a V5C
This is a one year only production bike with matching frame and engine numbers but has been styled like a Chenny Scrambler
It starts, runs and rides, no smoke or unusual rattles from the engine, all gears work as does the clutch and brakes
It has a Boyer Bransden power box so no battery or ignition key
I haven't managed to get the lights working yet
It's been stood for a while until I got it going
it might require some recommissioning before road use.
The B25 Street Scrambler combined BSA’s lively 250cc unit-construction single with high-level exhausts and off-road styling, making it one of the more characterful quarter-litre machines of the era.
The paperwork includes the current V5C, VMCC dating letter and the details from when the machine was UK road registered.
I can not guarantee the mileage is correct
A distinctive and increasingly uncommon model from the final years of BSA production, offered with appealing provenance and presenting a straightforward opportunity for sympathetic recommissioning. It has been modified to look like a Chenny Scrambler
