2007 Audi S8 5. 2 V10 quattro – 126, 000 miles – rare D3 V10 super saloon. 12 Month MOT
For sale is my 2007 Audi S8 V10 quattro, registration SB07 PYO. This is the D3-shape S8 with the 5. 2-litre naturally aspirated V10, 450 bhp, quattro four-wheel drive and the proper understated super-saloon look these cars do so well.
I bought the car in April 2022 at 68, 744 miles and have used it properly since then. It has now covered 126, 000 miles. It remains a very special thing: fast, discreet, comfortable, mechanically substantial and from the era when Audi built these cars with real depth and seriousness.
This is not a concours car and I am not pretending it is. It is an honest, usable example that would suit an enthusiast who understands what it is and is happy to sort a few known issues.
Known faults/ issues:
Engine warning light intermittent. Historic scan shows cylinder 1 misfire and lean-running faults, so the car will want diagnosis starting intake/ fuelling checks.
Small oil leak, previously mentioned on MOT.
Uses around 0. 5 litre of oil every two months.
MMI pop-up screen mechanism has an issue.
One rear light cluster is dimmer than it should be.
Scratch / paint damage over the wheel arch.
The car is therefore priced as an honest V10 S8 with some jobs to do, not as a perfect collector-grade example. That said, it is a rare and increasingly interesting car: aluminium-bodied, naturally aspirated V10, quattro, and a genuine future classic in my view.
It would make a very good usable modern classic for someone who wants the right car and is prepared to take on some sensible recommissioning.
