Description

Classically styled Triumph Bonneville "Newchurch" limited edition with Velorex sport sidecar attached, and WASP leading link front forks, matched to Hagon rear shock absorbers.
Front brake upgraded to "Pretech" 6 piston caliper, with Yamaha R6 master cylinder.
Triumph performance exhaust silencers, Triumph rack, "Datatool red alarm/ immobiliser fitted form new.
Period registration number fitted which comes with the bike.
Velorex sidecar is attached via 5 point H/ Duty fixing kit, and is currently fitted with sports screen. Also included is tall screen, full hood and Tonneau cover.
Rear luggage rack and front nudge bar finish off current specification '
All original parts, forks/ brakes/ exhausts etc are included in price. To build this outfit today to this specification would be between £10/ 11, 000 based on the bike value of £4, 500.
Documented Svc history, some Triumph, some independent with oil and filter changes at least every year. (Last changed Nov. 25th, 7, 376 miles).
Bike has only one previous owner, and I have owned it since September 2016. The sidecar was bought new and professionally fitted in July 2018.
I have every bill and MOT etc as you would expect.
Never been out in the rain, and cleaned after every use. Absolutely immaculate condition. Always garaged. Everywhere I go on this outfit, it attracts attention. People love it, even car drivers smile and wave. People approach you in petrol stations and enquire, often saying things like, " My dad had one just like that". It brings out the nice side of people. I've never been cut up, tail gated or shouted at when out on this, unlike when riding a solo motorcycle.
I must say, it only goes out when the sun is shining, hence the low mileage, so seeing this often makes some ones day.
I would go as far as saying that these Hinkley Bonnevilles are probably one of the best suited modern bikes for lugging a chair round. Lots of low down torque, spirited acceleration with a nice parallel twin noise including some nice occasional popping on the overun.
The sidecar itself has a convenient side step to enter and is snug for one adult, and a small dog too if you wish. Not suitable for great danes, unless they're on their own!
Currently fitted with a sports screen, it comes with a tall touring screen and full hood and frame to keep the elements out.
Luggage capacity is provided by a good sized boot behind the seat, with additional capacity via the rear boot rack, as well as the Triumph accessories rack on the bike. Enough capacity to go touring two up easily.
There's a tonneau cover too, and a front nudge bar too, which highlights the brilliant black gloss finish.
The 1978 Northampton registration comes with the outfit. Fitted by myself to enhance the 70's feel to this bike. Obviously the V5 is present with this vrn and all other books and spare key comes with the sale, along with all the original parts, such as forks, brakes and mudguard etc.
Please feel free to contact me, and ask questions. Please don't make a silly offer, as this would only embarrass you when refused, and annoy me!
As pointed out earlier in the text, based on the value of the bike it would cost well over £10, 000 to build this outfit now.
One more thing. Whilst I welcome interest from all, remember, a motorcycle combination is a unique driving experience, and although the controls are in the same place, they have a completely different effect on turning, accelerating and braking to a solo motorcycle. What I'm saying is, if you fancy a combination, it would be best to courier this bike home or get an experienced sidecar driver to fetch it for you! Learning to drive a sidecar is not difficult, but is very rewarding.
UK buyers only please. Bank Transfer on collection, and sorry, no test drives, but may be willing to take you for a quick spin in the chair if its not raining and I know you are serious.
And finally.. somebody may want to know if the sidecar can be removed? Yes it can, and the forks, which can be sold separately and the bike put back to standard, leaving no trace. These parts would be worth about £3, 000 to sell on if you wanted just a mint condition Triumph Bonneville. Before any one asks, -
I am NOT prepared to split the bike and chair. That would be down to the purchaser.
Thanks' for looking.
