Description

I am selling my 2006 Jaguar X100 XKR-S Convertible Final Edition in Jaguar Racing Green. This is an outstanding car which I have owned for the last two years, I am only selling as I no longer have garaged/ covered car parking.

This is a beautiful low mileage example of the XKR-S, without a doubt one of the best out there. It has been meticulously maintained with lots of proactive work being done. The key points about this car are:

4. 2L Supercharged V8 making 400bhp
6-Speed ZF Automatic Gearbox
ULEZ Compliant
Enhanced Brembo Brakes
Adaptive Dampers
Multiple Tweaks being the Final Edition (aka Victory Edition)
Factory Fitted Bluetooth Phone Kit
Jaguar Perseus BBS 20" Wheels - a rare option but stunningly beautiful
Continental SportContact 6 Tyres All Round
Jaguar R Performance braking system
Jaguar R Performance red brake callipers
Cruise Control
Electric Front Seats with Memory Function
Heated Seats
Electric Folding Roof with Tonneau Cover
Alpine Upgrade Sound System
Electric Heated Door Mirrors
Dual Climate Control System
Alarm & Immobiliser
Leather R Performance Steering Wheel with Leather Gearknob

The car is a very late X100 series, first registered in June 2006. Whilst I am the fourth registered keeper of the vehicle, the first keeper was the Jaguar dealer so this car has only had three owners since new. This can be seen in the paperwork that comes with the vehicle.

The car was driven from 2006 until around 2012 when the first owner was taken ill and it sat for about 8 years. In 2020 the car was recommissioned by Runnymede Motor Company and sold to the second owner who was an enthusiast and kept plenty of paperwork for the work he had done.

In 2024 I bought the car and have regularly taken it to Tom Lenthall in Berkshire who are an independent Jaguar specialist. They did a full inspection and confirmed that it was in really good solid condition.

Since 2024 I have done plenty of work at Tom Lenthall (some of it proactive maintenance) to keep the car in great condition, including but not limited to:

Full Services and MOTs
Gearbox Service
Air Con Re-Gas
Replaced Coolant Heater Hose
Replaced Engine V-Mounts
Replaced Front Anti-Roll Bar D-Rubbers and Drop Links
Welding - Front Passenger Floor
Welding - Both Sills

The welding was following a routine service where Tom recommended doing the welding as there were early signs of rust on the sills and they wanted to catch it before it got too bad. If you know these cars, almost all of them suffer from rust, but because it is hidden under the sill covers, most people don't realise it's there until it's too late and it spreads. The welding was only done in July 2025 as I was fully intending on keeping the car.

There are a few minor things worth noting but do remember this is a 20 year old car. There are a few marks on the seats and some very minor cracking in the leather in places. This has been treated and hasn't got any worse in my ownership. The front left headlight is also a little loose - apparently it needs a replacement lower bracket, although it is secure. The front numberplate holder (black plastic) is cracked - I did buy a replacement OEM part but it's the wrong one. There are also some small paint chips and imperfections. I have the Jaguar touch-up paint but haven't used it - they are very minor, only noticeable when you really go looking.

Included in the sale are two original keys and fobs, the user manual and service book in the original (but rather tatty) green leather pouch, and a large file of paperwork.

The car is (in my opinion) probably the best spec out there, with Jaguar Racing Green metallic paint over Ivory leather seats with (I believe) the Elm veneer wood dash, only available on the final edition cars. I waited ages to find the right spec Jaguar XKR-S. There are loads of XK8's and XKR's around, but only 200 of the White Badge Final Edition cars were made, and of those, many of them were uninspiring colour combinations. For me, only this one (Green over Ivory) was the one to have, and it really does stand out. A stunning car which on a summer's day with the roof down is an absolute joy to drive.

The 4. 2 Litre Supercharged engine is also perfect for this car, and well known to be reliable if it is looked after - and this one really has been.
