Description
I’m selling my museum quality 500 Pre war Norton model 18.
Absolutely impeccable throughout has got fully restored in the late 80s and hardly got ridden since,
All very original and before it got restored, it was in very good order.
It had a two page article done in the 60s in a magazine calledmotorcycling illustrated under the title of a vintage winter with black-and-white copies to go . About a school teacher who rode it through a very fierce snowy winter…. with the original buff logbook plus lots of other receipts collected throughout the years that shows all of the previous owners.
It rides and runs beautifully and absolutely wants for nothing. The seat is the original covering which I have left in its current condition as that material is not available anymore..
It also has the very rare front suspension bump stops in perfect condition. These would normally get broken off.
The paintwork is absolutely beautiful and is the original engine gearbox and remarkably the original barrel which matches the engine numbers and remarkably does not wet sump.
It has been fully serviced in the last few days and after six months sleeping started third kick.
This bike is show quality and hopefully the pictures will show you how stunning this pre-war Norton 500 really is
